A Year in Review

Since every news outlet lately has been doing their own year in review, I thought we should too!

 2013 was all about the "selfie"--I thought it was fitting to include one in this post.

Events in the Silversmith household in 2013 (in no particular order,except 1 and 2 )

10. Jed and I marked our 10th year in DC,who said we would only stay for 5? We like to double things in our family.
9. The sleeping drama that started at the end of 2012 and continued through much of 2013. Asher now sleeps comfortably on a mattress on the floor. No bed yet, baby steps!
8. Jed and I traveled to Seattle to visit friends. We did this separately, but had a great time! A little vacation away.
7. Our baby moon to Portland, Maine! The calm before the wonderful storm.
6. Asher moved on from his fixation with letters and is now in the animal craze. We discussed animals almost everyday of 2013, so I say it was a fairly significant part of the year.
5. Asher attends school 5 days a week. It is part time, but he is learning so much and making a lot of friends.
4. Flying to Pittsburgh with my baby girl at 2 months, all by myself. Jed drove with Asher to attend a cousin's wedding.
3. Spending the entire summer in DC with Asher. It was the best summer ever. We went out everyday and did it all. I love living in a city.
2.Finding out we were having a second child! I knew right away we were having a girl, I just felt it. We found out at 15 weeks that I was right!
1. Baby Orli joining our family. My parents and Jed's mom were around for the birth. I had support from my mom for over a month at my house.

Orli is fantastic and I can't wait to see her grow and change in the coming months, just like her big brother.
