September Fun

What a month!  A lot has happened around the Silversmith household.


1)  Orli turned 2! It was such a great day.  It started by having Asher, Jed and I serenade her to "Happy Birthday" as she woke up.  After we were finished singing she promptly stated, "No, sing Happy Birthday Raccoon"  So, we immediately obliged and sang Happy Birthday to the "raccoon" who lives outside our house. She beamed as we sang the song.

Orli loves Sesame Street characters. So, we had a Sesame Street themed party. 

Loved the way it was decorated did not enjoy the cake.

  Nana and Pop-pop also joined in the festivities. We had a great brunch and some cake for dessert. Then, Pop-pop helped Orli open her presents.

2) Asher started school at Germantown Academy.  He has to wear a uniform everyday.  Which at first was a pain because of his displeasure for buttons, but now it is manageable. He likes his teacher and friends, but could do without PE because he says, "it hurts his feet".

3) Orli also started school and goes three days a week until noon. The backpack is almost as big as her, but she LOVES wearing it.  She also is constantly repeating the line at drop off, "Mommy comes back" which is so precious.   

4) We celebrated Rosh Hashanah and got a quick visit from Grandpa Neil. Orli and Asher loved interacting with their Grandpa and having shoulder time with him.

5) Finally, we enjoyed decorating the Sukkah at Or Ami and look forward to having a meal outside in the coming week.
