Super Sunday for Standing

Asher is learning by leaps and bounds. Currently, Asher can clap his hands to "Patty Cake"-- this is especially useful when doing diaper changes.  He does a great job of communicating that he wants you to hold him by pulling on your pant leg or telling you that he is frustrated by kicking his feet.  However, sometimes, when he kicks, it is to show happiness. The smile or the frown on his face are the dead giveaway when interpreting his kick.  Also, Asher can hold his sippy cup filled with water and gnaw on the straw with delight. He enjoys crawling and can do so at a super fast speed, almost a run-crawl. He also loves to point to tell us where he wants to go. Lately, it has been the Fazzino painting proudly hanging in our living room. He has good taste in art, don't you think? Today, he impressed us all by climbing up 4 steps, while no one was looking, to retrieve his Daddy's shoe. This promptly was followed by Mommy and Daddy blaming one another for not watching him carefully.  Finally, Asher is getting really good at standing. He L.O.V.E.'s it!

Nap time is officially over!

Loves to open doors

He looks like a little boy here.
Now, he is going to try to figure out how to get down.

So far, this is Asher's solution. He is very careful not to go down with a hard thud. We are very impressed.
